This is the kind of boat we ride to the snorkeling spot.
Didn't manage to take any photo because my camera is not water proof. The coral and fishes are very nice. Crystal clear water. A lot better than our last snorkeling trip at Nusa Lembongan last year. But if compare to our Malaysia East Coast Island like Pulau Redang or Lang Tengah, we are still the best. More variety of fishes and creature....
Our snorkeling trip last for around 2 hours. Back to the hotel. Lepak at the pool side. Faye wanted to swim, and i put on some sun tan oil to get some color on my white chicken body.. haha....
1 hour later, feels hungry and head out to town for lunch. Went to BALI BAGUS Restaurant. Saw some review online for their delicious food at cheap price.
Shrimp Cracker for starter. its free.
Mee Goreng. Taste a bit like Chinese style cooking. Not bad.
Pork Fillet with Tamarind Sauce. Sweet & Sour. very nice...
Banana Pan Cake with Honey
Overall the food here is not bad. worth the amount of money we pay. Cost us less than rp100,000. Included a large Bintang beer.
After lunch, go to TENGANAN VILLAGE. 10 mins from Candidasa town. Hired the same tour guide as the snorkeling trip. Pay him only rp50,000, he took his bike i took my own bike. I need him to bring me there so that he can explain those story to me in that village.
TENGANAN is a symmetrically laid out Bali Aga village with a walled homes and unique crafts. Bali Aga was the original inhabitant of Bali, before the arrival of Hindu Javanese. Tenganan retains its ancient pre-Hindu customs through a strong code of non-fraternization with outsiders, further enforced by the protection of its surrounding walls.
The entrance, no need buy ticket, but are encouraged to give some donation.
The people of TENGANAN are skilled in the unique technique of weaving, called the 'DOUBLE IKAT', where the belief in the magical power of the fabric is essential in bringing out the beauty of the ikat cloth.
Very beautiful "Double Ikat" weaving. Not cheap.
Faye trying some local handmade instrument. a BAMBOO FLUTE. Sounds very nice. Good "blow" job. haha :P
Do they look alike?? :P
Shopping for some handmade scarf. rp100,000 for 2.
A very educational tour. Get to see the real BALI.
to be continue........
