Bali 2009 - Day 6 & 7

DAY 6

Nothing much to do today so just head to KUTA for some shopping. Bought some ladies dress and bags. Nothing much to buy also cause Kuta shopping is almost the same compare to last year visit.

Stop by Ocean Beach Club @ Kuta Beach for some drinks and snacks while enjoying the last sunset in Bali.

After a nice shower in our room, head to our Ultimate Dinner @ Warisan Cafe, Seminyak. We will at least do this once in our trip!!

This restaurant has very high review online. Its consider fine dining and the price of the food are almost par with Huu Bar and Ku Da Te. But for the enviroument of the restaurant, its more to casual dining.

Apetizer - Mushroom Ravioli with Shrimp

Apetizer - Hot Foie Gras with Cranberry Sauce. Only around RM60. Very cheap compare to KL. Our favourite dish.

This restaurant also has a gallery that sells paintings and craft.

Mains - Braised Veal in Tomato Sauce

Mains - Grilled Garlic Chicken with Mushroom & Foie Gras Ravioli

Buttered Risotto. Come with the Veal.

Dessert - Hot Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. Heaven!!!

Check out the melted chocolate thats flows out!! Yummy!!!

5 star food, 5 star service!! Total bill = RP1million (RM320) without wine!! ho ho......

Bali 2009 - Day 5 ( Legian Beach + Jimbaran )

After the drunk & great party last night, Wake up at 2:30pm today. Luckily no hang over again. Get down the the hotel pool, relax, swimming, sun tan....

A very sunny day. Saw a lot of kites up the sky. Then Faye say she never fly kite before in her life. haha... So decided to bring her to the beach to fly her 1st kite!!

Bought a bird shape kite on the beach for rp100,000. Expensive. But nevermind la... my wife 1st kite flying in her life wor... worth it worth it. Get extra string from the seller, so can fly higher.

Beautiful sunset at LEGIAN BEACH + flying kite. Don't no romantic or not?? haha...

When the sun goes down, took damm long to roll back the kite, due to long string... *&^#$%*&... hehe... back to hotel, bath and get ready for dinner.
Decided to go JIMBARAN SEAFOOD. We had thinking about it from last year since our 1st visit. Cheap lobster and seafood. Great taste and the best sambal.

JBS Restaurant. The same restaurant we went last year. Very honest, fresh seafood, great taste, they even gave us 35% discount.

This time we only order a 900g lobster. Don't want to over eat. Compare to last year we ordered a 2.5kg lobster. yum yum.... but its still as good as last visit. Quality still maintained.

Stir fry kangkung. and all kind of sauce. the bottom one is their sambal. this is what we craving for...

Finish with some fresh fruits. The bill came out only around Rp400,000 (RM130+).
After the dinner, go back to Kuta and Legian, looking for some new places to have some drink. Stop by SKY BAR Lounge, which we didn't go in before last year.

Order a beer, get a place to sit. Not very happening, the music not very nice. Not a place to party. Just relax, drinking and chill out. Feel bored just after half hour. So we change venue.
Walking around, still dun see any happening place. So, mana mau pergi?? Get on the bike, go to Jalan Double Six, wanted to check out some bar over there. Turn in the road, saw police on the side street. They ask me to stop at the side. Checked my international licence, then say my helmet cannot, Faye's helmet cannot, then she is holding a beer, cannot also. Fucker... just same like our Malaysia police. Mau rupiah cakap la.. aduh..... (*&$&^&%(*&Z.... he offer me to pay the summon on the spot. which is pay money to him lor... Rp50,000 kau tim!! haha.... give him very happily... at least its much more cheaper then paying our Malaysia Police...
If you plan to drive in Bali, this is what you have to expect. Its normal, they only like to kacau tourist. A lot of local drive motorbike there without helmet. but no one get caught. The most important is you must atleast have a international licence. others just pay them. but not more than rp100,000.
Reach the bar area... almost all empty. damm it... waste my time and rp50,000. Du lan... back to Jalan Legian.
Back to BOUNTY DISCO... still the best. Told them im from Malaysia, not Indonesian. Got free cover charge. hehe...

Saw the same Japanese chicks from last night (on the right). But different male partner... hmm???

Still drinking countless of Bintang Beer. Big bottle small bottle all come together!! The crowd is even more tonight. more happening!! The song are almost the same from last night.
Drunk again......feel too hot then leave at 3:00am. Back to hotel, sleep....

Bali 2009 - Day 4 ( Party party!! )

This is the 1st time we stay in Kuta town. But from the last year trip, im already quite familiar with this place. No problem going around town without a map. Rent a motorbike just opposite the Lokha Hotel. Was introduced by the driver. Rp30,000 per day. Very good price. Grab some mineral water and of coz a few of my Bintang Beer next door, back to room and rest.

The Lokha Hotel is located at Jalan Yudistira ( Ex-Jalan Padme), Legian. Its a very convenient hotel, with basically everything u need all within walking distance. This hotel should rated around 3 stars. Very clean room and bathroom. Not too noisy because its not located at the main road. Legian beach is within 10mins walking.

Decided to skip our dinner tonite, since we had a very sinful dinner last night (BBQ & lots of beer) and a very full lunch today. Just drink Herbalife Shake.
That is nothing much to do in Kuta Town at night except PARTY!! So after we relax in the room for a few hours, dress up and head to the most famous Discotheque in town, BOUNTY DISCOTHEQUE. We haven't go in before because last year i went to CLUB Double 6.

Paid rp50,000 each for the cover charge. Get 1 free beer. We were here around 11pm. Still quite empty. Wondering where is everyone. Quite bored at 1st. After a few bottle of beer, start to see the crowd slowly filling up the room. At 12:30am, this is what i call PAAARTTYYYYY!!!! hell yeah...........

A small Bintang Beer only cost rp15,000/btl. RM5.00. Where to find?? Drink like a fish... lost count how many beer i ordered. just keep paying rp30,000 each order.

Its very different from KL clubbing. Don't know how to explain. The crowd are from all around the world. And everyone are so friendly. Even only 2 of us, but we never feel weird or bored at all. Everyone just party together, drink together, laugh together, like a long lost friend. Just can't find any party at KL like this.
Can't remember what time we left. Went back to hotel, drunk, but still ok. Change, get ready to sleep..................... okokok..... im not gonna lie to you.... haha..... feel mouth itchi.... went out again, head to McDonald. Faye ordered a Cheese Burger, and McChicken for me. hmmmm....... sapu everything included the fries and Coke. Don't care about the calories, since we already had so many beer, doesn't make much different right???
Now its time to sleep... zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzz

Bali 2009 - Day 4 ( Private Day Tour ) Part 2

Reach Tirta Empul Temple at around 2:00pm. Actually visiting this temple is my main reason for this 2nd visit to Bali. After some hard time in my business and financial problems for the pass 1 year, one of my friend recommend me to visit this temple to perform a holy bath, hope to change my bad luck.

Pura Tirta Empul is located at a small town called TampakSiring, north of Ubud. The water at Tirta Empul is considered to be the holiest on the island, and to possess ‘miracle’ healing powers. It came from ground water spring.

As instructed by our driver, we have to wear a sarung and get in to the 1st pool. This pool only have 2 spring water. The water is very cold and refreshing. We head to a spring water, pray for what we want, and bow for the numbers of age, under the spring. ( im 30 years old so i bow for 30 times ). After doing so, go to the 2nd pool, which has around 10 spring water. Our guide told us that we can't go for all the spring water due to this is our 1st visit. If we do so, tomorrow morning we will be very tired and feels very lazy. So he only ask us to go for 1 spring water. Do the same thing as the 1st pool.
After the Holy Bath, change to dry cloths and continue our tour in the temple. Our driver give some donation and asked a priest to pray for us. We squad down on the floor, the priest gave us some colorful flowers. We just follow what our driver do, pick up certain color flowers and hold it with our palm together, pray for what we want. Do the same thing to the others color flower. Then the priest will sprinkle some water on our head, then gave us some rice. We have to eat some of it, just a few pieces, then stick some on our forehead and some on our neck. The end of the ceremony.
Some tourist found weird that we are the only who can do this. This is the different between a good driver and a bad driver... haha... Very good experience.

Feel so damm hungry after the bath, head to UBUD for our lunch. We had decided to go for BEBEK BETUTU this time, since we already had BABU GULING last year. Still miss it but want to try something new.
Bebek Betutu is a traditional Balinese Dish. Bebek means duck, Betutu is a popular dish where chicken or duck are wrap in banana leaf, slow roasting with a lot of spices and herbs for at least 4 -5 hour. Advance booking is required if you wish to eat this in BALI. It takes an overnight marination to make this famous dish.
We decided to go MURNI'S WARUNG, voted the best restaurant in Bali that serve BEBEK BETUTU. We invite our driver to had this lunch together with us.

Smell so good. Looks so yummy!! Im hungry already!!

Serve with Kunyit Rice. Taste so good too..

Check out the clean bone and u will know how tender the meat are. You can just pull the bone out of the meat very easily!

Beautiful view while having our lunch. There is a river underneath.

Some statues in the restaurant.

Dessert Section.

The lunch cost us around rp200,000 plus, for 3 of us. Very cheap.
After lunch around 5pm, we head to our last location of the day. GOA GAJAH.
The Goa Gajah, that literally means Elephant Cave, 10mins from UBUD. It is a cave shaped in the form of the letter "T". It was a monastery for the Buddhist and Hindu monks in the ancient times. The monks used to meditate in these caves.
The entrance exhibits depiction of animals, entangling leaves, waves of the ocean and rocks. The monstrous Kala head or the human shaped head depicts as if it split opens the rock with its hands at its entrance. The interiors of the cave are decorated with shrines. An elephant statue also stands inside the Goa Gajah cave.

This pile of stones previously was a temple building. It collapse after an earth quake.

The holy bathing pool in Goa Gajah.

The broken Buddha Statue.

Leave Goa Gajah at 6pm. Reach LEGIAN to check in THE LOKHA HOTEL at 7:30pm. We are going to spend our last 3 nights here. Book this hotel from MATTA fair. Cost us less than RM600 for 3 nights.
Total duration for this tour is 9.5hrs. Pay our driver rp450,000 + 50,000 tips. Very happy tour & hope to see him again on our next visit.
to be continue...
